Toyota Camry retains features for 2008
by Cris JohnEverything is the same for Toyota Camry this year. Well, the redesigned 2007 Camry had been the best selling car in America. Reason enough for Toyota not to make any changes for 2008. The sixth-generation 2008 Toyota Camry continues the legacy of its predecessor along with its strong resale value. The Camry offers roomy and comfortable interiors, powerful V-6 engine, luxurious ride quality and advanced safety equipment. However, Toyota has dropped the CE name from the base trim level for the 2008 Camry version. The four-door sedan is available in four trim levels, the base, LE, SE and XLE. The base is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 158-horsepower. The remaining trims offer a choice of either the four-cylinder or a fuel-efficient V-6 engine that gets paired to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The fuel economy of the Camry is 21/31 mpg (city/highway) with either transmission. When speaking about interior features, the Camry's fit and finish is exquisite and every surface is soft to touch. The controls in the LE models are simple and neatly placed. Trunk capacity available in base and LE models is 15 cubic feet and 14.5 cubes in the SE and XLE. Its exterior styling is also a carryover from the 2007.The 2008 Camry comes with a host of safety equipment, including anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, airbags on the side for front passengers, curtain airbags on the side for front and rear passengers and a driver knee airbag.Visit Royal Moore Toyota (http://toyota.royalmoore.com/), the leading Toyota dealer in Hillsboro, Oregon (OR), to explore one of the most popular sedans in the world.
